Ever since this team has stacked itself with superstars, it has done nothing but force the team into early playoff exits. Signing Texiera would just be yet another step in that direction. Betemit could probably produce a .260, 15 hr, 80 rbi season or so, and get the Yanks back into the role player mentality. As it is, he probably has the most clutch late inning hits on the team this year, including the breakup of the no-no.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297014613661913479.post-15863874296107522432008-09-09T10:43:00.000-04:002008-09-09T10:43:00.000-04:00Cashman was too attached to the farm system to mak...Cashman was too attached to the farm system to make trades. It got me thinking: he was responsible for putting together the team. He should be responsible for running (read: MANAGING) the team as well. Take him out of the front office and into the dugout.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3297014613661913479.post-87478047839471207022008-09-08T21:04:00.000-04:002008-09-08T21:04:00.000-04:00They're on the fourth spot qnd Cashman still has a...They're on the fourth spot qnd Cashman still has a job?<BR/>That's amazing.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
