I was unable to watch the game this afternoon, so here is The Associated Press' game recap. The Yankees won 11-8, and have now won 10 of their last 11 games and 13 of their last 16 games.
Tyler Clippard was sent down to AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre, according to Joe Torre's postgame news conference. Kevin Thompson will be called up for tomorrow's game. Expect to see Kei Igawa take Clippard's turn in the rotation.
In Scranton, Igawa is 2-2 with a 2.88 ERA, with 27 strikeouts and seven walks in 25 innings.

I was at the gave v. Boston where Kei Igawa appeared out of nowhere and shutout Boston for 6 innings. It gave me faith in him, despite his penchant for giving up more home runs in one game than I thought humanly possible.
I arrived at the game just in time to see Karstens get a line drive to the leg. Literally, I walked out of the tunnel, looked on the field and saw him get hit. My seats were right above the Yankee bullpen. Pretty much the only guy in there was Myers. All of a sudden, Kei Igawa comes out of nowhere and starts warming up.
Long story short (too late, I know), I'm excited if that Kei Igawa comes back. He was eager, and he was GOOD.
that should have been GAME v. Boston, by the way. I suck at typing.
He has certainly worked hard to improve. His numbers in Scranton show it. We're not paying him $46 million to pitch to scrubs, so we might as well see what we've got.
Clippard obviously needs more time in AAA. He has ability but was rushed to the majors because of all of the injuries. Now that the pieces are back in place, time in AAA can't hurt.
Clippard does not look like a pitcher who will have sucess in the AL east. He should be traded.
