Isn't it ironic?

I'm sure you've all heard about the story of Genarlow Wilson. If not, he was a high school football player who was arrested and convicted for having consensual oral sex with a 15-year-old at a 2003 New Year's Eve party because of some southern conservative ridiculous law. He now has to spend ten years in jail. If he had consensual intercourse with her, the penalty would be five years in jail. Because she was 15, she could not legally consent. Anyway, when he gets out of jail, he can't be around his baby sister because he would have to register as a sex offender.

In doing a little research, I found out that until 1998 in Georgia, it was illegal for a husband and wife to engage in oral sex, and it was punishable by up to 20 years in jail.

So, today I'm watching CNN and they're interviewing Wilson's mother and attorney. Apparently, there will be a hearing on Monday in an effort to free Wilson from jail. Here's the funny part: the attorney's name happens to be B.J. Bernstein (pictured). I mean, how perfect is this? The irony is fantastic.
