The Yankees open up the second half of the season with 28.75 games (the 0.75 being the pending completion of the suspended game) against teams currently under .500. This is the perfect opportunity for the Yankees, a team that should not be under .500 this late in the season, to make a move in both the AL East and Wild Card standings. These games will most likely make or break the 2007 season.
At SPA, I will track the Yankees' progress over these 28.75 games.
Game 1 - July 12: Win (7-3) vs. Tampa Bay
Game 2 - July 13: Loss (4-6) vs. Tampa Bay
The Yankees are 1-1 in this crucial stretch of the season.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
