As the Yankees begin a four-game series against Kansas City, Cleveland begins a four-game series against Boston at Cleveland.
The Yankees trail Boston by 7.5 games in the AL East and trail Cleveland by 6.5 games in the Wild Card.
So, what should the Yankees hope for in these next four days? Any win by the Yankees guarantees gaining ground on one of them, so winning three of the four games at a minimum is crucial.
With the difference only being one game between Cleveland and Boston, Yankee fans should root for the Indians, so long as the Yankees continue to win. Getting within 5.5 games before the end of July could set off panic in the streets of Boston.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
