Game 76 recap: Yankees win 8-7

The Yankees didn't score in the resumption of the suspended game.

The Orioles were able to push across a run in the ninth off of Mariano Rivera. After Miguel Tejada struck out to lead off the ninth, Corey Patterson doubled and Ramon Hernandez singled to score Patterson. A single advanced Hernandez to third with two outs. The game ended when Robinson Cano was able to get the force out at second base.

Mike Myers received the win and Rivera got a five-out save.

I was hoping Wang would get the win... Wasn't he in line for it before that run scored? The Yankees won after all, so maybe it doesn't matter so much.

Myers was always in line. The Yankees lost the lead after Wang left the game.
