Joba Chamberlain to play in the Futures Game today

The Futures Game is this afternoon, and it is played between the top Minor League prospects from the USA and the World.

Yankees prospect Joba Chamberlain (pictured) is scheduled to appear in the game today. It starts at 4:00 p.m. and will be on ESPN2.

In AA Trenton, Chamberlain is 3-1 with a 2.60 ERA in 27 2-3 innings pitched (five starts). He has also struck out 48 and walked 11. He has also struck out at least eight batters in every start since being called up to Trenton.

Before being called up, he went 4-0 with a 2.03 ERA in 40 innings pitched (seven starts) in A Tampa. He struck out 51 and walked 11.

He has surrendered one home run and squandered 45 hits in 67 2-3 total innings this season.
