Scott Proctor Update 8/2/07

Scott Proctor actually threw more than one pitch tonight for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

He just finished up a 1-2-3 inning against the San Francisco Giants. He struck out Guillermo Rodriguez, got Barry Zito to fly out to left and induced a groundout to third to end the inning.

He threw 10 pitches for eight strikes. I do not know if he'll go back for a second inning of work or not.

UPDATE: Proctor ended up going out for a second inning, and only retired one batter. Overall, he gave up one hit, one earned run, walked two, struck out one and threw 27 pitches for 14 strikes.

He faced Barry Bonds and intentionally walked him. Earlier this year, Proctor gave up home run No. 749 to Bonds when the Yankees played San Francisco.
