The Yankees keep on winning

This time, if the Wild Card race ends in a tie, they will host the tiebreaker.

The Yankees won the coin flip to host any game that could determine the wild card, Major League Baseball announced Friday.

New York (78-62) currently owns a three-game lead in the wild card over both the Seattle Mariners (74-64) and the Detroit Tigers (75-65). If either one of those teams was to force a tie with the Yankees at the end of the regular season, New York would host the tiebreaking contest.

If the Yankees fall out of the top spot, the Tigers would host the Mariners in any tiebreaking situation. (Source)
