Ma Yankee gets emotional

This is a must, MUST listen (via Awful Announcing). Please be patient - it takes a while to load but it's highly worth it.

Our very own Suzyn Waldman cried on-air during last night's postgame show on WCBS-AM 880.

John Sterling
, once again, came out looking great (see Roger Clemens' announcement aftermath).

This is extremely unprofessional of Waldman.

I wonder how long of a contact she signed with the station...

I believe she and Sterling are signed through 2011.

She isn't crying about losing the game, she is crying about the almost certain loss of a close friend. People at different times in their lives realize that their lives are moving almost too quickly. I'm not advocating what she did, but at the same time, she isn't crying because the Yankees are out of the playoffs, she is upset because she knows what lies ahead.

She's the worst.

This is just another reason why Gary, Ron, and Keith are the best announcers in baseball.

Sorry for the Yankees, too bad Waldman won't be fired / let go with Torre.

LMAO...Cohen is a HUGE homer and Hernandez is awful.

At least Cohen doesn't cry like a baby when the Mets lose.

And god, where the hell have you been, it friggin' KEITH HERNANDEZ!
He is Keith Hernandez.

He is Keith Hernandez..and he is a douche!

You'd rather have your talking asses in the booth over Gary, Keith, and Ron??

Who Mike and the Mad Dog call the best announcing team in baseball...

HA!

You need help man.

I like Cohen and Darling...even though Cohen gets to bitchy. Hernandez blows.

This almost makes me forgive Sterling for the "Sterling Shake"

Aroy is absolutely right. I can understand how crying on the air could be deemed "unprofessional", but you must understand what she is crying about. This is not some little kid crying because her team's season must come to an end. it's more personal than that. It is one friend losing another and realizing that a 12 year era, one which whether you like Torre or not was undeniably amazing, is coming to close.
