Chien-Ming Wang isn't an ace.
I wouldn't shed a tear if Jorge Posada walks at the end of the season.
That is all.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"

You're an idiot. He had a great season. That would be a huge loss.
I agree. I used to check this board fairly consistently, but thanks, you've saved me a lot of time. Its clear you have no idea what your talking about.
You could argue Posada is the MVP of this team. I'm not saying Arod isn't or that he isn't deserving, I'm saying you could make a case. And with the ridiculous numbers Arod put up this year, it says something that you could even argue the point.
If we don't bring Jorge back, we will forever regret it. Even if he breaks down next year, we still don't have a better option.
I shouldn't post when I'm angry, but that at-bat was absolutely awful. However, I've never been a big fan of him and I wasn't fooled by him this year.
I agree that we don't have a better option, but I wouldn't give him anything more than 3 years for $15 million each.
I'm not jumping for joy at the eight runs scored on Wang, but he and Posada are two of the reasons that the Yankees even had a chance to play today. They'll be some Yankee heroics before the season ends in late October. Cleveland got all its runs out of the way today so that the Yankees can clean up later on... I hope...
Three years for $15 millions sounds pretty reasonable. I imagine he'll play well in the near future, but I wonder if he would retire before so long. Perhaps they can ready up a protege for him, but he's had a wonderful season. Few, if any catcher seasons could match.
You know Andrew, it's this kind of statements that give away your ignorance for the game and the people that play it. How easy it was for you to throw the Wanger and Georgie under the bus for a single game's performance. If you win 19 games and carry your team into the post-season, you ARE an ace. If you hit 340 with 20 dingers and 90 RBI's, while being a catcher, and a key guy in the franchise history, you do get a pay-day and you get to stay. However, if you're willing to throw away everything those guys have done over years for one game's performance, you are not a fan. Being angry is no excuse. I'm sure everyone was frustrated tonite. But keeping the faith is what being a fan is all about, and frankly, you gave up on this team back in April, so why even be a fan and have a blog? Seeing statements like this on your blog makes me not want to come back here, really, and read your recaps. You gotta believe, man, and be a better fan if you want people to come back and read your blog.
