According to Bryan Hoch, Mariano Rivera threw a 41-pitch side session yesterday and expects to make his spring debut on Friday against the Houston Astros at Legends Field.
He said he was "real happy" with how it went and will see how his arm feels today.
The 8-10 inning theme was reiterating again, as Rivera will not be scheduled to pitch on the road during the spring.
Hoch is also reporting that Marcos Vechionacchi was reassigned, not Eduardo Nunez, as reported yesterday.
