I'm back up and running and I have a lot to say after the first three games of the season.
First of all, Chien-Ming Wang and Phil Hughes looked very nice in their outings. Mike Mussina got bailed out numerous times by 5-4-3 double plays. His velocity was in the mid-80s and wasn't impressive.
Joba Chamberlain and Mariano Rivera are in mid-season form.
My main complaints are with the lineup. For the first three games, they look old.
They are unable to get the big hit and have gotten lucky in their two wins.
However, two wins are indeed two wins. They won their first series of the year. The offense will eventually get their act together.
I will not be around for tomorrow night's game, so expect to see things back to normal by Saturday (i.e. game previews and recaps).
Meanwhile, a classmate of mine has a blog. I swear, we Quinnipiac journalism students are taking over the internet. If you're a golf fan and/or a Bruce Springsteen fan, I highly recommend J Schil's Blog.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
