From Ed Price:
Meanwhile, reliever Joba Chamberlain will stay on bereavement leave indefinitely to tend to his ailing father in Nebraska.
"His dad is continuing to do better," manager Joe Girardi said. "He was up for rehab twice today, moving his arms and his legs. Joba told me he was surprised how strong he felt. So he's doing better. There's still no timetable (for Joba's return to the Yankees). But there is progress, which is good."
Girardi said Harlan Chamberlain could be off a ventilator this weekend.
Great to hear that his dad is doing better.
