Farnsworth likely to be suspended

The Daily News is reporting that Kyle Farnsworth will be suspended three games and fined $2,000 for throwing a 97-m.p.h. fastball behind Manny Ramirez's head Thursday night.

Farnsworth claimed the pitch slipped and it wasn't intentional, but Ramirez hit two home runs earlier in the game and Alex Rodriguez was hit the night before.

The only thing that's curious about this is that Farnsworth wasn't ejected after the pitch. Both benches were warned. Usually a player is suspended after being ejected.

Farnsworth has the chance to appeal, but when all is said and done, this will be the third Yankee of the young season to be suspended.
