Alex Rodriguez, tonight's designated hitter, aggravated his quad injury and was forced to leave the game in the eighth inning. He was pinch hit for by Johnny Damon, who eventually scored a run on Hideki Matsui's RBI double.
According to Peter Abraham, Rodriguez will definitely not play in tomorrow night's game against Detroit, and should sit out a few more additional games.
