Peter Abraham is reporting that Alex Rodriguez will be placed on the disabled list for the first time in his Yankee career with a Grade 2 quadriceps strain.
Rodriguez first injured his quad on April 20 in Baltimore. During that time, he sat out a few games and went to Miami for the birth of his second daughter. He returned to the lineup on April 25 and played in four games before sitting out tonight's game. As a result, the Yankees can't put him on the disabled list retroactively.
With Jorge Posada already on the disabled list, the Yankees' struggling offense takes another huge hit.
Rodriguez has four home runs and 11 RBI through 24 games played this season. The earliest he can return is May 13.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
