Darrell Rasner pitched his second straight quality start, allowing only two earned runs over six innings against the Detroit Tigers Saturday afternoon. He is now 2-0 on the season after going 4-0 for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
As for the hitters, Derek Jeter hit his first home run of the year.
Don't look now, but Robinson Cano has hit in six straight games to raise his batting average to .185. He has eight hits in his last 22 at-bats.
Meanwhile, Wilson Betemit will go on the disabled list with a hamstring injury. Alberto Gonzalez will be recalled.
Andy Pettitte will start tomorrow in hopes of taking the road series against the Tigers.
