Mariano Rivera was named the American League's Player of the Week, according to Kat O'Brien.
Rivera appeared in four games, recording three saves in three chances while striking out seven and allowing only one hit.
In 25 innings pitched the season, Rivera has 15 saves and 24 strikeouts. He has also allowed only one earned run.
This is the first Player of the Week award for the Yankees' closer.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
