Yesterday, they pitched well but couldn't hit. Darrell Rasner pitched the game of his life, but the Yankees' offense could only score one run.
This afternoon, they're hitting (six runs through 6 1/2 innings), but Andy Pettitte turned in one of the worst starts of his career.
In 6 2/3 innings, Pettitte gave up 10 (!!!!!!!!!!) earned runs to the Kansas City Royals. The same Kansas City Royals who are 24-37 and 12-21 on the road.
Pettitte now has a 6.20 ERA in his last nine starts. So much for winning his last 14 starts when the weather is 84 degrees or higher at Yankee Stadium.
Pettitte should be arrested for robbery.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
