The series ahead

The New York Yankees (50-45) begin a three-game series against the Oakland Athletics (51-44) at Yankee Stadium tonight. Tickets for all New York Yankees home games can be found online at Vivid Seats. Many games at Yankee Stadium during the final season have been sold out, but you can get in-demand tickets here. The pitching matchups are:

Tonight - 7:05 p.m., MY9
Greg Smith
- LHP (5-7, 3.43 ERA) vs. Mike Mussina - RHP (11-6, 3.61 ERA)

Tomorrow - 1:05 p.m., YES
Justin Duchscherer
- RHP (10-5, 1.82 ERA) vs. Joba Chamberlain - RHP (2-3, 2.62 ERA)

Sunday - 1:05 p.m., YES/TBS
Sean Gallagher
- RHP (4-4, 4.25 ERA) vs. Andy Pettitte - LHP (10-7, 4.03 ERA)

I realize posting has been somewhat sparse over the last few days. I've been working at camp for the last three weeks and with the All-Star break this week, I figured I'd give myself a little break. Just think of me as Mike Mussina or Jason Giambi. I've performed well, but wasn't selected as an All-Star.

It's gonna be a tough series but the Yankees HAVE to take 2/3 if not sweep.

It's cool to see Sexson in the lineup already.
