iNewsday's Mark Hermann says that Hideki Matsui could be activated as early as Tuesday, according to Joe Girardi.
Matsui took 15 at-bats in a simulated game today and will fly to New York for further evaluation. If he passes all of his remaining tests, he will be activated.
Matsui would add a much-need boost to the struggling offense. When Matsui went on the disabled list, he was batting .323/.404/.458 with seven home runs and 34 RBI in 285 plate appearances.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
