Mark Feinsand is the bearer of bad news (but don't shoot the messenger!).
Feinsand, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, is reporting that Andy Pettitte has been experiencing left arm stiffness and may have to miss his scheduled start on Sunday.
This could explain why Pettitte has given up 14 earned runs in his last two starts (10 1/3 innings).
After getting off to a hot start right after the All-Star Break, the Yankees have been a disaster. If this injury turns out to be serious or if Joba Chamberlain's shoulder injury is more than the Yankees have led on, it'll be time to starting thinking about 2009.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
