After winning eight games in a row start to begin the second half of the season, the Yankees are 5-10 in their last 15 games.
Damaso Marte picked a bad time to walk a batter and, for whatever reason, Wilson Betemit and Robinson Cano barely moved on the ground ball that eventually ended the game.
With the pitching staff in shambles, things aren't looking good. It may be time to start making plans for 2009 sooner rather than later.
Brian Cashman can start by getting rid of Betemit and not re-signing Bobby Abreu.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"

Abreu's been a goner since the they they traded for Nady. I suspect that Wilson Betemit will be back though.
This team should switch to NL West.
They might get a chance to the playoff there.
Another tightly contested game gone with the wind, not helped by the fact the Yankees failed to score with men on base and executed what's been their anthem all season: the good ol' inning ending GIDP. These were games that they woulda, coulda, shoulda won.
Someone please remind Girardi that Mo brought into a tied game = kiss of death.
