The Yankees have lost each of Andy Pettitte's last four starts. Mariano Rivera predictably gave up the go-ahead run in another tie game. What looked to be one of Rivera's finest seasons has quickly become a disaster. He only has one blown save, but these runs in tie games can negate that statistic.
The Yankees have lost six of their last seven and are approaching the .500 mark again. With only about 40 games left this season, the Yankees can't afford to lose to bad teams, even though they have become a bad team themselves.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"

Another collective failure, not least of which was due to Mo's typical choke job when it comes to a tied game. One has to remember that Mo was a failed starter at the beginning of his career. It is all too apparent that every time he's brought in to keep a game tied, he doesn't pitch like the closer that he is, but the starter that he was.

That is probably the least accurate thing I've read all day. Thanks for the chuckle.
