Huge comeback vaults Sox into Game 6

Unbelievable.

The Rays, up 7-0, nine outs away from advancing to the World Series, gave up eight runs over the next three innings to lose 8-7 to bring the series back to Tampa for Game 6.

This is the kind of win that can catapult Boston to the World Series and the kind of loss that can cripple the Rays.

Scott Kazmir was cruising through six innings. When he came out of the game, everything went to hell. What a shame.

Game 6 is tomorrow night at 8:07 p.m.

It still made for an exciting game, even with the wrong outcome. Longoria's bad throw might as well been the turning point of the game.

I'm glad it wasn't the Yankees on the other side of this crushing defeat this time. I've all but shut out the visions of games 4-7 from 2004 and this made me remember it all over again!

It would've been nice to see the Rays clinch the pennant amongst the long faces of Red Sox nation. But so be it, they can either clinch at home or at worst, experience what the Yankees did in '04. :^/

If definitely did bring back bad memories - the blowout to win the third game and then heartbreaking, late-inning losses in the next couple of games. The Rays had to win this game. I hate the fact that this series has been extended.

I was freaked out by the game - flashbacks of '04 in my head. I blame the Rays' pen. For me, it was Ortiz's homer off Balfour that turned it. UGH.
