7 years, $160 million

That's what Ken Rosenthal is reporting. It works out to almost $23 million per year.

This is the largest contract given to a starting pitcher, and fourth-largest in MLB history.

Part of the deal is the proverbial opt-out (after three years), so I think I may have to skip getting any C.C. apparel for now!

Still, it's a welcome signing, just as long he has a great season and doesn't get lit up in October...
