Burnett 'intrigued' by pitching in N.Y.

Dan Graizano brings us the latest on the A.J. Burnett front:

Two Yankees officials expressed confidence that the team would soon have a deal with free-agent right-hander A.J. Burnett. The Yankees have offered a five-year deal worth between $80 million and $85 million and could go higher. The Braves seem to have maxed out at around $80 million for five years, and Burnett is said to be intrigued by the idea of pitching in New York and staying in the American League.
The fact that he's intrigued by the idea of pitching in New York doesn't exactly intrigue me, as I've said numerous times.

More on this as it develops.

Danny, I remember when you thought that Bochy was a better manager than Torre. Give A.J. a chance, we need to dominate. I'll always remember that two run single you delivered in the first inning of the blood war softball game at the Palm Beach JCC game between the two Post teams.
Keep living the dream! Bobby G.
