Jorge Posada starting his throwing program in Tampa today, Joel Sherman said.
According to Sherman, the Yankees continue to be encouraged he'll be able to catch during spring training.
Posada played his last game on July 19 before having shoulder surgery on July 30.
Update - 6:15 p.m.: Peter Abraham said that, according to Yankees trainers, Posada has been throwing for a week.
