We all know John Sterling has silly home run calls for Yankees.

However, John is going to have to come up with some new ones due to the recent signing of Mark Teixeira. Good thing I'm here to help him think of some.

I thought about that too. Then I thought: when is Starling (not to mention Waldman) going to get fired? He can't see a flyball to save his life, and his act is played.

They're both pretty bad. At least Sterling is somewhat entertaining at times. To enjoy him, you have to realize how bad he is at calling a game and not listen for his broadcasting ability.
I love John Sterling. Sure, he's over the top, but he's the voice of the Yankees and has never missed a game. Totally professional. Would you rather have Hawk Harrelson?

If the choice is Hawk Harrelson or John Sterling, I'd rather just mute the sound.
The only time Sterling was tolerable was when he was teamed with Kay. Separately, they are awful and know nothing about baseball.
Yankee fans deserve better.
I agree with you on Harrelson, Jane. He's a joke and completely unlistenable.

Rich: Sterling was definitely at his best with Kay, but he's hilarious with Suzyn. The broadcast is such a joke that I tune in just to hear some of the ridiculous things they say.
I understand your point, Andrew. It's just that it gets tiresome when they repeatedly tell listeners that Cairo was great despite hitting .230 something, and that Jeter "makes all the plays at short."
Oh, absolutely. He's not the best analyst in the world. I try to listen and hope I'm lucky enough to hear him misjudge a fly ball or blame his seating location for one of his many blunders. I take his blind Yankee-optimism in stride.

For current sports announcers, I like Vin Scully and Marv Albert's also excellent.
Years ago, Tony Kubic used to be good. And in my childhood, I still remember liking Kurt Gowdy.

I agree, but the team will experience the fun if Stelring is there in the group, I love cairo, he keeps on playing excellently to cope up with the team.
