Which pitcher do you want the most?

I have added a new poll to the right-hand side of the page. If you're viewing in an RSS reader, the poll will not be visible unless you visit the site.

I ask: All things being equal, which free-agent pitcher do you want the most?

A.J. Burnett
Derek Lowe
Ben Sheets
None

The poll will close at 10 a.m. ET tomorrow.

Discuss your choice here.

I would take Derek Lowe. He is more durale and would be a good #3 behind Sabathia and Wang, and If Hughes and Kennedy do what they showed in 2007 the Yankees would have a grewat
rotation.

Burnett. Sign him for six years. Or longer.

Lowe's durable, Anonymous 1. However, his last two years in the AL East scare me, and while he had good numbers with the Dodgers, they were in the weak NL West. I don't know if I'd give him a lot of money over a long period of time.

Anonymous 2: No. No. Never.

This is too simple.

1) Ben Sheets - highest upside (in terms of production) / lowest risk (in terms of years and $$$).

2) Andy Pettitte - Why would the Yankees take 4-5 years of 35 year old Derek Lowe over 1-2 years of Andy Pettitte. Pettitte faded down the stretch last year due to injury (fatigue). He had a long offseason last year with the HGH stuff.

3) AJ Burnett - Great stuff - not durable when not in a contract year. 4 years - maybe. 5 years - no way.

4) Derek Lowe - Let the Sox take him. His numbers clearly show the difference in leagues. He is a horse, but again, if you need innings, take Pettitte. I thought the idea was to get younger, more athletic, and maintain roster and financial flexibility.

Sheets is definitely the best option. The news that the Yankees have offered five years made me want to cry.
