Peter Abraham is reporting the Yankees have finally called up Alfredo Aceves, thus having a long reliever. Anthony Claggett was optioned back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes Barre.
Aceves is 2-0 with a 3.80 ERA in 23 2/3 innings for Scranton this season. He has struck out 18 and walked five.
He appeared in 30 innings with the Yankees last season, pitching to a 2.40 ERA.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
