The Yankees have called up Double-A catcher Francisco Cervelli to replace Jorge Posada, according to Peter Abraham.
Cervelli is batting .190 with two home runs and seven RBI in 58 at-bats for the Thunder. Cervelli went 0-5 in three games with the Yankees at the end of last year.
