Chien-Ming Wang threw 82 pitches for Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tonight.
In six shutout innings, he struck out six, walked three and allowed three hits. Seven of his outs went on the ground (compared to four flyouts) and 49 of his pitches went for strikes.
In the fourth inning, Wang was hit in the left shin by a pitch but was obviously well enough to pitch through the sixth inning. According to Chad Jennings, Wang was sitting in the low 90s for his entire outing, though he’s unsure of the radar gun’s accuracy.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
