Cano teased us with fouling off a lot of pitches, but in the end did exactly what he did in two previous ABs: ground out. Unfortunately in this case it was the good ol' game ending GIDP variety. He might as well have taken some more pitches and let someone else try to get the run in. Ending the game like against a team like this is unforgivable.

I also got tired of seeing gratuitous shots of Lannan's parents throughout the game. I watched the game on the Nats' home station, so I really wasn't interested in hearing any of what the announcers had to say.; June 17, 2009 at 10:09 PM
