kongon said...: Boston has been playing the Yankees this year like it's 2004 all over again. Plenty of things to be angry about: the umpires blowing calls, WAY TOO MANY runners left on base, poor offense/defense, etc.

CC may be a workhorse, but even I got uneasy when he was allowed to stay as long as he did. That basically unraveled the game and wasted his own effort at keeping the Yankees in it when it was 1-0 for most of the night. I knew they needed more than three runs. Was he out of gas? Feeling too much pressure?

I would have rather them just lose 1-0 instead of having to go through this dreck. The only highlight of the game for me was seeing A-Rod actually making himself useful for once in a clutch situation.; June 11, 2009 at 11:05 PM
