I didn't watch today's game, as I was out celebrating our nation's independence. Apparently, the Yankees didn't feel like playing today, either.
Joe Torre's random lineup generator decided it didn't want the Yankees to add on to their two-game winning streak Wednesday afternoon. The AAA Scranton/Wilkes-Barre C-Team's lineup is better than today's lineup of Melky Cabrera, Miguel Cairo, Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez, Hideki Matsui, Andy Phillips, Robinson Cano, Kevin Thompson and Wil Nieves.
This was against two-time Cy Young Award winner Johan Santana, mind you. Miraculously, they did have a 2-1 lead at one point.
With how far behind the Yankees are in their two races, there is no time for throwaway games.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
