With the off day tomorrow, the Yankees decided to change around the rotation a little bit, according to Peter Abraham.
Chien-Ming Wang, Mike Mussina and Phil Hughes will start against the Chicago White Sox. Andy Pettitte and Ian Kennedy will start the first two games of the Cleveland series.
Basically, the Yankees wanted to break up Hughes and Kennedy so as to save the bullpen. Kennedy gets an extra day of rest while Pettitte stays on his normal schedule.
This is the right move, although Mussina and Hughes after each other could also pose a problem. They could probably only move one pitcher at a time.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"
