This can't be good

The ALCS begins tonight and MLB.com is selling these t-shirts. This is probably referring to the Rays' triumph in the AL East, but this takes on a whole other meaning with the two teams meeting in the ALCS.

Rays in seven. What are your predictions?

H/T to the first comment on this Bronx Banter article.

Matsuzaka tossed six innings of no-hit ball?
Yes, he did that with big help from the home plate umpire.
I believe the umpires should be fair or unfair to both teams.
But it seems to me that most umpires favor the Red Sox.
Jon Lester didn't strike out Mark Teixeira. The home plate umpire struck him out.
Matsuzaka didn't strike out Evan Longoria. The home plate umpire struck him out.
Bad calls like these usually help the Red Sox to win.
This really need to be stopped.

A little overconfidence can backfire! Remember last year when the Mets were selling NL East Division Champs shirts on their website? Or when the Boston Globe announced plans for a book for the Pats' 19-0 season? It had the subtitle of "The Historic Championship Season of New England's Unbeatable Patriots."

At least with the latter, the mock-up had a disclaimer, dutifully noting it would be published only in the event of a win.

I don't want this to be three time's the charm!

Last night was bad. The Rays looked like the Yankees with men on base at times last night. Hopefully Kazmir can even it up tonight.

I thought the exact same thing, Andrew. Men on base with nobody out and can't score? Straight from the Yankees playbook from '08. Ugh.
