Giants 'supremely confident' about signing Sabathia

Earlier, I relayed to you a Ken Rosenthal report, saying the San Francisco Giants want to meet with CC Sabathia after the Winter Meetings.

Now, the Giants are apparently "supremely confident" they will sign Sabathia, according to Tony Jackson of the Los Angeles Daily News (via MLB Trade Rumors).

If Sabathia doesn't want to play in New York, all the money in the world won't affect it. I wouldn't want to be paying a pitcher $140 million if they would rather be elsewhere.
