Dismantling of the old Stadium

The great Tom Kaminski from WCBS 880 has some overhead shots of the deconstruction of Yankee Stadium.

I am not going to enjoy going to games at the new Stadium while watching the old one get torn down piece by piece. It's going to be very sad.

Said Pete Abraham:

They’re started dismantling the old Yankee Stadium, stripping out the grass and now they’re taking down the outfield walls. This part of the wall had very little wear and tear as Bobby Abreu rarely touched it.

OK, that's a pretty good one. Sometimes he leaves much to be desired in that department.

I almost wish they took it down at the same time as Shea so I wouldn't have to see more and more of it dismantled each game I go to this year. Actually that may have meant I wouldn't have been able to go on the tour in late November since Shea's deconstruction began the day after they were eliminated.

I can't say this enough, I am really disappointed they didn't wait until right after the home opener, so some cool overhead shots could have been taken of both stadia.
