The Yankees will play Team USA at George M. Steinbrenner Field on March 3. Derek Jeter, as you know, will be on Team USA for the World Baseball Classic. Thus brings up this interesting dilemma:
The New York captain will play for the United States against his Yankees in a warmup for the World Baseball Classic.This is compelling television.
“Hopefully, I won’t see any pitches inside,” Jeter joked Thursday. “It will be funny. It will be fun.”
