Xavier Nady tied the game with his fourth home run as a Yankee in the eighth.
On the other side of the ball, Damaso Marte walked three in the ninth inning leading up to a walk-off grand slam to Marlon Byrd. Why was Joe Girardi sitting on his hands, allowing Marte to walk the ballpark?
And I thought it couldn't get worse after watching the second Yankee pitcher in two years to leave the Texas mound due to injury.
What a terrible night to be a Yankee fan.
Oh, by the way, the Red Sox and Rays both lost, so tonight would have been a great opportunity to gain some ground.
"Now, what is this site about, how Joe Torre ruined pitchers' arms? Is that it?"

I really have no idea why Girardi didn't pull him when he walked the bases loaded... it was like 110 degrees on the mound, he had thrown a ton of pitches and was obviously exhausted. And this after coming in in relief and pitching well the previous inning.
