Since the last look at the standings, the Yankees have gone 5-2 and gained 1.5 games in the AL East. The Red Sox went 3-3 over that same period.
In the Wild Card standings, the Yankees gained 0.5 games. The Yankees are now chasing the Cleveland Indians, as the Detroit Tigers have taken over first place in the AL Central.
The Red Sox magic number to eliminate the Yankees is 67 (down five from last week).
The Indians magic number to eliminate the Yankees is 68 (down seven from last week).

All games are not completed on Sunday...the Braves and Padres are still playing. You have to be the most inaccurate twat I've read in a long time.
What does Padres/Braves have to do with the Yankees place in the standings?
